Permanent affordable housing and supportive services for the homeless.

Providence Place

Melbourne, FL

DESCRIPTION

Providence Place will create 120 units of Permanent Supportive Housing and reduce Melbourne’s long-term unsheltered homeless population by 50%. It will also create 36 units of Interim Housing to serve unsheltered households who are transitionally homeless, require recuperative care following hospitalization and would otherwise be discharged to the street.
The project will feature a 2,000 sq. ft comprehensive health clinic operated by Brevard Health Alliance, a lounge and community room with a communal kitchen, a cafeteria for residents and staff, a laundry service and gym, a supported employment program, in-home nursing care, a coffee and general-store shop, and a large outdoor common area with enhanced landscaping. A bus stop is also being planned for the site
